Animal Birth Control - Surgery Check-In Instructions
We are pleased to welcome you and your pet to Animal Birth Control. Please read
the following instructions carefully; they will help ensure that your pet's visit
with us is as safe and comfortable as possible.
- Drop-off for surgery is between the hours of 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM.
- Please, NO food after 6 PM the night before surgery. Your pet may have water. We
will have to reschedule your pet's surgery if your pet has eaten.
- Dogs must be on a leash.
- Cats must be in an enclosed carrier or box with breathing holes.
- The payment of your bill is due, in full, at the time your pet is released.
- Be prepared to isolate your pet in a quiet room the first night after surgery.
- Be aware your pet may vomit on the way home from the clinic; please bring a washable
towel or blanket to protect your vehicle.
- If you are bringing a cat in for declaw surgery please be aware your pet must stay
with us overnight. Your cat will be ready to go home after 9 AM the following day.
- If you are bringing more than one cat for surgery, please have a seperate carrier
for each cat when you pick them up after surgery.
- CHECK-IN can take approximately 20 - 30 minutes, please be prepared to wait while
your pet is being checked in by our doctors.
