Beginning at a very young age, Sheraine surrounded herself with animals and made
them a part of her family. In February, 1985 at age 18, Sheraine was hired as a
receptionist by Woodcliff Animal Hospital in Chatworth, CA. Two years later Sheraine
became Clinic Manager of this state-of-the-art 12,000 sq ft clinic. In January,
1992 Sheraine moved to Durango, Colorado, where she helped to establish and build
Bakers Bridge Veterinary Clinic. Bakers Bridge Clinic offered many low-cost services,
and it was there that Sheraine realized the importance of these services to the
community. In April, 2001 after moving to Las Vegas, NV, Sheraine was hired by the
Lied Animal Foundation, a 35,000 sq ft Animal Shelter, Humane Society, Spay/Neuter
Clinic. Sheraine was hired as clinic manager over the spay/neuter and vaccination
clinic, and soon became Shelter Manager as well. In September, 2002 Sheraine moved
to Tucson, AZ. Realizing the need in Tucson to help reduce pet over-population and
help the community with low-cost services, Sheraine soon formed the corporation
and built Animal Birth Control of Tucson, Inc. which was located at Grant &
Stone. In August, 2005 Sheraine successfully opened the second location at Craycroft
& 22nd. Sheraine's goal is to reduce Tucson's pet overpopulation "One spay at
a time"!!
