Shane

Beginning at a very young age, Shane surrounded herself with animals and made them a part of her family. In February, 1985 at age 18, Shane was hired as a receptionist by Woodcliff Animal Hospital in Chatworth, CA. Two years later Shane became Clinic Manager of this state-of-the-art 12,000 sq ft clinic. In January, 1992 Shane moved to Durango, Colorado, where she helped to establish and build Bakers Bridge Veterinary Clinic. Bakers Bridge Clinic offered many low-cost services, and it was there that Shane realized the importance of these services to the community. In April, 2001 after moving to Las Vegas, NV, Shane was hired by the Lied Animal Foundation, a 35,000 sq ft Animal Shelter, Humane Society, Spay/Neuter Clinic. Shane was hired as clinic manager over the spay/neuter and vaccination clinic, and soon became Shelter Manager as well. In September, 2002 Shane moved to Tucson, AZ. Realizing the need in Tucson for low-cost services, and having a great desire to help reduce pet over-population in our city.....Shane soon formed the corporation and built Animal Birth Control of Tucson, Inc, in 2003, with a temporary location at Grant and Stone. In August 2005 Shane successfully opened a spay/neuter clinic at Craycroft & 22nd. In June 2009 another spay/neuter clinic was opened at Valencia & I-19 (Midvale Park). Shane's goal and ambition is to reduce Tucson's pet overpopulation "One spay at a time"!! Shane has a Maltese/Lhasa mix named "Anikin Skywalker and a Terrier mix named "Commander Cody" !!

Kirsten - Vice President

Kirsten

After returning to the work force after a small hiatus to raise her young sons Harrison and Emmett, Kirsten has joined the Animal Birth Control team. She enjoys working with animals, has always been surrounded by them and is finding a wonderful and meaningful challenge with ABC! Kirsten has previously served in USAF, worked for the Non-Appropriated Funds Committee and is currently a volunteer with Heartland Hospice. She brings many talents to the Animal Birth Control family and looks forward to furthering her knowledge and offering this valuable service to our community. Kirsten has attended Northern Michigan University and Central Texas College and enjoys gardening, cooking, biking, sports and the beach! Kirsten is currently owned by her fluffy Shih Tzu's Ruby and Maxie and their soon to be brother, Anakin Skywalker.

Tammy - Director of Operations

Tammy started working in a Veterinary Clinic as a kennel Technician at the age of 18 and has remained in the Veterinary field for 15 years. Tammy has worked as a Technician and also as a manager . Tammy has always had a great love for animals and has had man different varieties from pigs to dogs. Tammy currently owns an Olde English Bulldog named Dutchess. Tammy came to work at Animal Birth Control in March of 2010 as Office Manager.....she loves her job and feels right at home!

Nicole - Receptionist

I was born and raised in Northern California and came to Tucson by way of Alaska when I was 16. I have 2 dogs, Junior and Rucca, who are at my side during all of my adventures wherever they may lead me! In my spare time I enjoy hiking and camping. I thoroughly enjoy working with Animal Birth Control because they are a company who genuinely cares about the pets and the community!
